This post is all about ON PAGE OPTIMIZATION. On Page Optimization is nothing but one of the SEO technique. On Page Optimization is; that can be done on the page of a site. It is all related to the content of a page, coding and designing which should be SEO friendly. I have tried to include all the points which are important for On Page Optimization.
Best Keywords or Keyword Phrases: – You should have the best keyword for your site. Best keyword means the keyword which is really relevant to your site. You can choose keywords or keyword phrases for your site.
How to choose your keywords: – At the time of your keywords selection you should be very conscious about these 2 things:
- There must be good traffic on those keywords I mean good searches.
- The competitors must be less. Low competition will increase the chances for top ranking.

Site URL: – Your domain name must contain your keywords. Keyword rich domain helps your site to get ranking in SERP. So I would suggest getting a keyword rich domain for your site. Getting it will no more harm you but will give you benefit.
HTML Tags: – There are some HTML Tags whose presences could make your site SEO friendly and tough in the SERP competition. I have motioned the Tags which are in my knowledge.
1. Title tag: – Title tag has been the most essential factor for a site. Title tag must contain your major keywords and the keywords should be mention in the beginning of your sentence. Title tags give a good indication to the Search Engines about your page content. The title is the biggest ranking factor of yahoo’s raking algorithm. You must use your keyword once in your title tag.
- It should be between your opening and closing head tag.
e.g. <head>
<title>keywords then rest of the sentence</title>
</head>
-Your title remain under 35-40 Characters. (according to http://www.w3.org the title should be less than 64 characters, that is idle one)
- Every keyword must be separated through comma, hyphen or slashes.
2. Meta Tags: – The Meta tags are important to give more relevant information about your site. All the information included in Meta tags are not seen by the visitors of your site. These are only visible to search engines. Search engines collect the information through these tags for their database.
Meta tags include:
- Meta description Tag: – Meta description tags help you to give the most relevant description to the Search engines. These descriptions is then collected by Search Engines and then shown in the SERP. Description must be 160 to 180 characters.
-Meta Keywords tag: – Meta Keyword tags contain keywords of your sites. This is not possible to include each and every keyword in your content. This keyword tag is useful to show your all keywords and you can also use synonyms for your keywords which could be search by your visitors. Keywords must be within 256 characters.
3. Meta Robots Tag: - Meta Robot tag is one of the Meta Tags which helps you to keep the page out of the Spider’s reach. You can put this tag on that page which you want should not be indexed by Search Engine.
Just put this tag on that page where you don’t want to be spider come:

And you can use this tag where you want spider come:-
<meta name=”Robots” Content=”index, follow”> (this tag is not necessary)
These Mata Tags must be put like that in your page:-

4. ALT (Image Alternate Text Tags) Tag: – ALT tag is useful with your IMG tag when your image is hyperlinked. You can put your keyword in your ALT tag.

NOTE: – Meta tags never gives you guaranty to get a top rank but they support you to get that top rank by solving some barriers of your way. Meta tags will not harm your site but will give benefit.
Powerful Content: – Content of a site plays most important role to attract the traffic towards your site. Through the point of SEO, content is the king of a site. Your content must be fresh and good quality. To make your content more relevant you can use your keywords in your site content. Google consider keyword density in the body of a page for determining relevancy too therefore it’s important to get your keywords and phrases appear throughout the whole page. A density of 6-10% seems to work best.
- You must use headings tag through out your site. These heading tags must include keywords and phrases that will make your site more relevant while SERP.
- You must include your most of the keywords in bold tag.
- The links which point to your site must contain keywords in it. It’s a good idea to get good ranking by using keywords in your anchor text and description.
